I've never had trouble w/ the hooks being too big w/ Puget Sound pinks. If I use a hootchie I use a regular size pink one w/ two 3/0's or a 3/0 4/0 combo. I put the smaller at the end and the 4/0 is pretty much there in case they're being aggressive. It just holds on to them that much better since it's a barbless fishery.

Yeah, I like to use a mini B2-squid (pink of course) hence the smaller hooks.

I found the link to the a "Humpy Killer" package at Sportco online.  For some reason I couldn't find it last week when I was looking.

Only problem I see w/ that set up is it's got a flasher and it's going to put out a lot of drag. Made for DR users. The hootchie is all good but a #0 white dodger will be a lot more kayak fishing friendly.

You're right, I guess that isn't the Silver Horde dodger/hootchie combo I was thinking of.   I guess I'll either  have to come up with something locally or stop by SportCo or Outdoor Emporium on the way the the Pinkout.

You shouldn't be trolling fast enough to make that flasher rotate anyway.

The rigs are easy enough to make up yourself and you'll have better hooks for sure. Here's a link to the hootchies. http://www.sportco.com/productcart/pc/viewPrd.asp?idproduct=51967&idcategory=0 Grab some of you fav 3/0-4/0 octopus hooks (smash the barbs) and a #0 dodger (preferably in white) and you're set.
