Wali's good company on the water cause you know anything strange will most likely not happen to you... ;)

Wali, you're more than welcome on any trip I go on!!!

Wali, great shots of the ling in it's environment.

Madoc, my first salty catches were at PC too. Awesome place to fish, and I can't wait to get back out with the whales again. Glad your first trip was a success, and I hope you will have many more in the future!

Congratulations Madoc,
I am looking forward to fishing the salt someday.

When you said you were going out around the haystack I assumed you were fishing off of Cannon Beach. But the pictures said "Wrong!". So is PC Pacific City?

The ocean conditions that day were perfect. I love to see the pictures.
Thanks,
David

Congratulations!  I emerged from my pupa state at PC too.  It's really cool to see the pics of any adventure on the sight, keeps the imagination going.  I am currently working on a weedless jig for Depoe Bay Sept 12.  I've got a couple 2oz banana weights painted white and attached octopus hooks to them.  The weedless part is sticking a 6" rubber curly tail worm on the octopus hook Texas style.  I think it may work...we will see.

lol!
I could see how that could happen! I could be wrong, but I think there's at least three places along the Oregon coast that people call "Haystack Rock".
