Alright its official.  I finally got my T13 wet.  Took it out on hicks lake in Lacey.  Nice ride.  I figured I would take a lap around the lake so I could get used to my new YAK-UV.  I would like to get out in the salt soon so I can try my hand at some salmon fishing.  I live in the south sound.  Does anyone know of some good places to go fishing down here?

Being inherently lazy I end up fishing near Browns Point a lot. Although of course there are LOTS of places in the south sound to fish. I'm looking forward to exploring as many as possible as time permits. I take it you mostly (only?) flyfish? Ravkadot is down here too doing the same thing. Perhaps we can get out together sometime soon.
I've got friends out on Anderson Island, I love fishing the area around there.  Point Defiance is close and easy, Chambers Bay can be good, haven't explored Carr or Case inlet but they are on my list.  The nice part with the flyrod is fishing shallow to fish I see feeding while I'm exploring new water. Lots of small coves and bays hold fish at various times and get little if any notice from the motorized crowd.

i'm going to fish the mouth of Chamber's wednesday at 5:30 pm.  launching at Sunnyside Park and going to troll around with some hoochies or spoons or try jigging the drop-off.  company would be great and i have enough gear for two people. lemme know if you're up for it.

I have a couple of places to launch down our way. One place 10 min north of us (true north, not I-5 north) has been a great place to fish sea-run cutts in the salt. I have hung into some resi coho there as well, all though getting them to the boat has been a whole nother story. All great fun on a 5-6 weight. I have pick up quite a few flounder over in the Nisqually delta area as well. I work overnight right now, so most of my fishing is on weekday mornings. Try to let me know in advance if you can get away one morning, and I'll try to make sure I get out at a descent time. Just shoot me a PM.
