Lumpy Waters Symposium

Just wanted to give a heads up, we're putting on a kayak symposium 10/16-18/09 at Pacific City. There are tons of salt specific kayak classes offered, including "Sit on Tops in the Surf" and "Coastal Kayak Fishing" with yours truly. (Never mind it may be the only time this fall I actually get to fish).

Class Schedule:
Friday:

9 am to 6 pm  Check In and move in to cabins/campground

10 am to 4 pm Rolling lessons – 1 hour privates in the pool

10 am to 4 pm Boat demos – on the Nestucca River

10 am to 4 pm Sales bazaar – Demos and rentals for sale and a private swap meet (sell your old boat so you can buy a new one!)

10 am to 4 pm Boat outfitting clinics

1 pm to 4 pm afternoon session

Nestucca river mouth tour w/eddies, currents and waves w/Sean Morley

Fear to fun in the surf w/Karl Anderson

6:30 to 8 pm Dinner

8:00 pm to 10:pm party and video presentation at the club house

6:30 am to 8:00 am Breakfast

9:00 am to 4:pm Full day Classes

not a bad deal... 250 for the whole weekend, or 75 for ala cart classes... can't afford the time off in october though.
