Royg and I launched at Charleston harbor today and peddeld out over the bar to the end of the North Spit jetty. Fishing was kinda slow but Royg managed to bag a bunch of blacks with 4 keepers and i got 1 keeper black and a big ole' 24 1/2 inch 12 pound Cabbie, boy did that sucker pull!! made it all the slow time worth it.. It was a great day as far as conditions, flat calm water. We also saw a small Mola mola...I think it was in love with Royg's new zebra stripe paint job, it kept following him around. Pretty good day on the water

Hey Roy... I've been planning on the Zebra effect for the bottom of my new yak when I get it. Was it difficult to do? What kind of paint did you use?

It's a known fact that Great Whites absolutely HATE Zebra meat! And besides, what kind of A-hole shark would attack an innocent Zebra while it peacefully grazes on the Pacific?  ;D

But seriously... It looks like it came out nice.

Yakatack,,, Lets just say i got it done,,,,First time  didn't go well.  Cleaned and de-wax , then used Fusion paint, scraped it off with a scraper, slick boat!!!
Next tryed different paints,, fish eye ,, cleaned again..
Noticed the fusion paint did well on the very botton where sand had scuffed ,  the surface,,. The last plan worked well.. mask it off and sand the stripes for painting.. This a final act so make sure the masking job is how you want it.. The fusion paint got a mechanical bond and seems to holding.
There is a thread some where about putting shark teeth on bow,,
Google --Shark camo research--for info on tests in the shark pitts..
I have a 96 in  two piece,, decal from Sharkcamo  if anybody wants it,,  paid 49 $,,,,Used on surfboards, make offer. Revo had to many compound curves.
