Spoke with the cute fish checker today down at Wheeler.  the Native quota is about 60% complete - the ODFW spreadsheet on the Rec report page was compiled last week - she said that as of yesterday there were about 600 fish landed, and she expected the quota to be filled by this weekend.

I struck out.  Got out on the water right before sun-up, which also happened to be during the outgoing tide.only a couple of jumpers, I didn't see any fish landed, and I got off the water at 10am.

Cheers,
Madoc

Okay, I'm going to try again on Friday morning.  High tide on Friday will be around 730, and sunrise will be at 707.  So Friday means High Slack at first light, although it looks like it is going to be sunny and cloudless again.

Anyone else down for trying for a Native bonus bag on Friday morning out of Wheeler?

I might be able to swing it. I have a crab derby that starts at 8, but this might work!

Crab derby starts at 8.30 at the Jetty Fishery. I think I'll launch at 6 from the Nehalem Public ramp and see what I can see.
