Cobra's have got to be one of the hardest fishing kayaks out there.  It's almost impossible to oil can them on your car rack or your head.

Thanks for the report, I really need to find time to get back out there soon.

No it's not.  Flat, wide bottom on cradles gets them every time.  At least it used to on my Triple.

Okay, I should clarify that it was impossible to oil can my Navigator which was incredibly hard and had a weird bottom hull design.    Besides your Triple was like 20 ft long or something wasn't it?

I do agree that Cobra uses very beefy plastic ...

I'll second that.  My F-n-D has a nice warp between the scuppers.

I think Cobra changed their hull thickness, as DTS has a pair of new FnD's and they seam to be thinner than the T13 hull.  And oil can pretty easy.  Might be the older style had more material thus their obviously heavier body weight. DTS's FnD feel noticeably lighter than Palagic's older style FnD, as I have loaded both yaks onto my Toyota rack now.

I'll second that.  My F-n-D has a nice warp between the scuppers.

It must be a standard for the old F-n-D.  Both of mine do as well.  :(

Thank you steelheadr! I stand corrected.  :embarassed: Yes, standard feature.  :)
