whens the closing date for decisions, again?

No real closing date.  You can register at any time so long as there are spots left.  Of course sooner is usually better as the remaining spots can go at any time.

Looks like the first trip works out better for me (actually for those covering for me in my absence) so I'm going to work that one.  Allen Bushnell will now be taking the second trip.

Can you say 60 days and counting until I am in Alaska again?

I sure as hell can.

Alan, look forward to meeting and fishing with you again bro.

Looks like I won't be in Foggy the week you are, Troy, so there's no reason you can't take my boat.  I'll be using Howard's fleet for tours locally, and will have little time for personal fishing, so you are free to use my boat.  We'll just have to remember to put together a quickie little AA powered battery system as back up for the electronics, though my 10ah battery should last quite a while for ya, if ya need it at all  ::)

Bro..   You are friggen AWESOME...  I would be stupid not to take you up on that offer...

Anything you want me to bring up from the lower 48, let me know...  I know how some things are in short supply up there, or very expensive.

I think PP has the right idea, but rum isn't my flavor.  I'm a fan of Seahag Transformation Potion #69  .... (read as any good quality bourbon)  LOL.  No, seriously, it's not a problem.

Below is a link to NOAA's reduced scale and subdivided booklet chart that covers Foggy Bay.  Of particular interest are pages 11 and 15.  I also like that these are kept up to date regarding the Coast Pilot and start with a few pages with all the relevant info.  Enjoy.

http://ocsdata.ncd.noaa.gov/BookletChart/17434_BookletChart_HomeEd.pdf

If I was at home and had my old trusty machine, I'd include .pdf exports of just pages 11 and 15.  Any volunteers?

Here's at least the insert for the Bay.

A couple of points of interests.  See the test "Delong Islands" in the upper left.  We stayed on the largest of the islands, the one you see just to the SE of the word "Islands".

The majority of our fishing was done just to the west of these islands in the 200-250' range from 57 minutes up to 58 minutes ... literally "right out front".  Silvers were in the same area but in shallower all the way to shore.

We did go all the way south to Foggy Point one day.  Of course it was the windiest day so we didn't/couldn't fish it hard.  Only pulled one tiny chick (not even a chicken) out before tucking into the bay.  Inside the bay on the flats was dead.

Lot's of areas to explore.  Tried to find that 5 fm rock at the mouth of the bay, but couldn't.  And to the north is a flat sloping out to deeper water.  And those flats south of Foggy Point.  But really, with the fishing we had right out front, it's hard to motivate to paddle much farther.

FORTY DAYS and counting down.

YakMonkey...  Thanks for the link, I will print and bring along.

Allen...  Nice map of the area...  I bet the rock fishing in the islands was fun too...  Imagine them on light tackle when you get tired or Silvers and Halibut...  ROFL

Did I say FORTY DAYS!!!!   :P ;D :)
