Would my inflatable self-bailing Sevylor River XDS (looks like this one) be good for that?

It's supposed to be whitewater capable  ... not that I would try it in a class IV or V

Again,  I'm no authority by any means on river kayaking but I think that yak would be doable in the stuff we had.  Kinda look's like a narrower i9 (without mirage drive and rudder)

Looks like some good action.

there are some white water SOT's....dagger torrent comes to mind. I took it down the sandy through class 3 + and it was steady as a rock.

kind of lame-o for white water kayaking, but sweet for white water fishing. The torrent turned class 3 action into a lazy float.

There's also the Liquid Logic XP9 for a more traditional WW boat with a spring loaded skeg for flat sections.

Inflatables are VERY forgiving and user friendly....they aren't going to be as tippy as regular WW boats, but you lose performance that I'd say doesn't matter for fishing.

Awesome Brian.  You should submit that to kayak anglers magazine.  Remember when you wrote that fishing article for our high school newspaper.  I just remembered that.  I should also tell everyone about that time you took the that full bear skin and head rug from your dads fireplace out to a busy street in the middle of the night, laid down and waited till a car would pass and then jumped up like a live bear.  You were only fifteen I'm sure everyone would understand.

Yeah the bear suit deff would go under "Awsome stuff that I'll never do again"   One day I'll be driving down a foggy road and some punk kid with a bear suit will jump out of nowhere and scare the she-ite out of me...my breaks will lokck up...Ill screech to a hault.  I'll look back to see what the hell that was??...and then I'll see two 15 year olds running away, laughing like hell.      Karma stikes again :P

Yea that or you'll roll up to McDonald's and every sine and price and menu item will be from the burger king across the street.  Or some one will cast a spinner bait through your drive through window.
