Well I found pretty much what I have been looking for on Craigslist.  I got a yellow Tarpon 120 in great shape for $300.  I hauled it home and threw it in the garage.  I need to get some time but I can't wait to take her out.

First I need a paddle.  I found a 230cm Carlisle Magic + for $68 that looks like it should do the job just fine for me.  If you think I'm making a mistake picking it up, please let me know.

I have an Eagle Cuda 350 that I use on my pontoon boat that I'm going to rig to use on the kayak also.  I have seen the installation threads here and it looks like it should be no problem.

I live on a houseboat on Lake Union so a lot of my just paddling around for fun will be there since I can just drop into the water from my porch and go any time.  I do want to fish from my yak.  I have lived in Western Washington all my life and I know a lot about salmon and bottom fish in Puget Sound so I'm sure I will be giving that a go.  Since I live so close to Lake Washington, I want to try that too.  If anyone has advice on how to catch trout or cuttties in the big lake I would greatly appreciate the company or advice.

I have seen threads here on Rufus Woods Lake and I have fished there many times and plan to go back whenever I can get time.  If anyone wants to plan a trip I would be happy to go.

I’m sure you will be hearing more from me but I just wanted to say hi.

Bill

Can't go wrong with a 12' Tarpon and that seems like a good price.  I'm jealous I have to cart my boat a hundred yards before I hit the water.  I need to build a bigger porch ;D

My back deck is 100yds off lake Mayfield, so i feel your pain. We do have a Private boat launch & 2 docks. I cant wait until spring to get towed around by one of those big Lake Mayfield musky's.
