Ya'all eat leopards?  I used to dive with them in Cali, but never thought of them as a foodstuff.....

Gorgeous fish, though.

I love these fish!!  BBQ-ed they taste like a lobster/catfish!  Sere in a hot lemon butter garlic combo for about 10 seconds per inch , then apply to BBQ for 4-6 minutes per side per inch.  This process keeps the fish from rubberizing.  Steaks cook better than fillets ;)

Interesting.  Sounds pretty good.  Watching 30+ of them gather in the shallows of the Channel Islands was an amazing sight, and one I won't forget.  Really cool fish.

They love black/olive rockfish heads flylined in the the shallows;)  Having good polarized glasses is a must.  Good luck fishing near the kelp >:(

released this hammerhead at the boat. It had alot of friends hovering beneath the kayak waiting for the release. A little creepy

Cant get enough of the salmon shark pictures from guys who hook and catch them from a kayak  ;D .. I noticed that you guys did not have a FF on your yak...   If you did, wouldnt it suck to destroy your head unit and mount bringing one of those monsters on board ;)

Negative, I caught (and released) it sometime in January...I was actually fishing for sturgeon and ended up catching a striper and a L. Shark that day.

Hah!  Actually the kayaks were bone dry, not a thing on them except us, a rod, and a paddle.  We didn't want anything extra to get in the way or possibly get lost in the expected mayhem.

I'd always heard they have a strong urea taste.  What's the secret to get rid of it?
