Just came in from a matinee of seeing Avatar. WHOA!! See it in 3d. Special effects
will blow you away. On the way home, ran by Walmart, K Mart  with no luck in my quest for the elusive crate. Told my wife one more stop at the local convenience store and there were 2 of them in perfect shape just sitting outside. I walked over
with my NWKA logo on my forehead and Zee's phone # posted on my rear and
nonchalantly put them in my car while my wife just looked like i was crazy. Bummer is that when I got home, they dont fit in my Cobra Navigator. guess that means more yaks are in my future and my wife wants a Hobie Outback

Hey do you think your recent episode of  kleptomania is a result of your depression from seeing Avatar?   :'( Were here for you man...take is easy...don't do anything drastic...

I saw Avatar in 3d at IMAX as well, it's mind blowing! It looks like some of the branches and bugs are 2 feet in front of you, it's really amazing. The bubble when he was in cryo was really cool looking? No people, I was totally sobre, unfortunately. If you haven't seen it you're missing out!

Goodwill rocks for milk crates (at least my local one does).  In a year, I have picked up 2 large ones, and 8 smaller ones from there.  All for $99 each.  Even found 3 or 4 pop crates there as well for $.99 each.  I am using them for fishing and kayak gear storage in the garage.

Technically milk crates are the property of the dairy, thriftstores could be busted for selling stolen goods...

That said, I work at a grocery store. We've got some great Orange crates for those of you that want something that is visible....

I might be interested, what are the dimensions?

I have a couple of fake milk crates that are store-bought and were actually registered by the original owner (an "ex-gf" who gave them to me). They say "Early Winters" on them, have a serial #, and are bright green. As light weight as these are, they are sturdy enough and work quite well.
I have 4 pvc rod holder tubes zip-tied to one (two go out nearly horizontal for trolling (one to each side), two go straight up for rod and net storage. Pretty standard.  I bungee it into the rear well. I made that for my Ultimate-12. I might set up the other one a little differently (without the side-trolling tubes), custom for my Tarpon.

In the far distant past, late one night, when milk crates, cinder blocks, and 2x12s made for acceptable book shelves, I scored a couple dozen bona fide, reinforced milk crates from behind the Greenlake Albertson's.  None of my "companions" since, except TLW, have understood why I am emotionally attached to them and keep dragging them around.

They will stack into a stable tower one may stand on safely.
They have enough structural integrity to support many hundreds of pounds.
They are extremely durable and easy to clean.
They fit a 5 gallon carboy fairly well and a 7 gallon carboy perfectly.

Milk crates are one of the most useful objects ever made by man.
