just hazing a bit Brian.  I havnt had feelings for quite a few years now and your probably right about the middle america yak bassin crowd.
Im not sure what hes attempting to paddle. Maybe a sink or a kaynoe hybrid type.
What I will give him is a great job with the Capt Ken Daubert style of documentation.

A real pro would have been eating goose for dinner.

Me, too!  Thats why they have long necks.  Easier to grab.    Also, their little bodies are conveniently the diameter of the length of a strip of bacon to keep em from drying out.  Nature's perfect wild fowl. :)

Eobasser, that is a nice goose your kid is holding.  It has been awhile since I have had the opportunity to goose hunt.  Very yummy indeed.

Ahhhhhhh no?

You said you didn't say he was OK pro staff. You didn't say he wasn't.   :tongue3:

You guys can say what you would or wouldn't do all you want but the fact of the matter is....you have no clue until it happens to you. It was definitely a good laugh, though!

That one is for the Kayak Fishing Hall of Fame!!

In his defense, I don't think the issue is whether or not he can do a deep water self-rescue. In that position, I think what was going through his head(or at least this is what would've been going through mine) is whether he can re-mount his kayak and be ready to joust with the damn bird at the same time. You are sort of in a vulnerable position when you're scooting back on your boat and the last thing you want to to worry about is a sharp beak going straight for your ears!

His video made it onto the Jay Leno Show 2/5/10. Last 20 seconds of the show. He is famous now!
