I am a newbie to the site and my DH (fishnut1) & I are planning to take some vacation time either in Sept or Oct of 2010, any suggestions as to timing? I glanced thru the OFWR, for licensing , regs & yak permits.  Also thru previouc PC posts here.

Any info appreciated.  :blob5: Anybody interested in meeting up then?
 Thanks.

If you are interested in fishing the salt with the yaks I would say September is your best bet for hitting good ocean conditions.  Coho and Chinooks are also around at this time, in the river, but you would be a tad early for chinooks.    If you give me a heads up when you are going to be down  I can point you in the direction of some offshore fishing and other coastal pursuits, clamming, crabbing, fall is also prime mushroom season, good places to eat etc.  Lots of options for things to do in the area.

I'm always up for PC! Let us know when you'll be down!
Those are great months for fishing the area as pelagic pointed out.

Thanks for the help. We are looking at coming down for the week after Labor Day around the 9th or 10th of Sept. and staying for a week.

Fishnut1 has not made any surf launches at all, so I want to get him thru one or two sans Fishfinder, poles & camera. I've already lost one set of those items minus the fishfinder, just from not watching the water while I was stowing my pole. First time I'd ever capsized in any yak in 10 years.
