I'm thinking about doing some jetty fishing this weekend, either sat or sun (maybe both?) if the weather is going to hold. The forecast is calling for some wind from the east, but the last couple of days the wind has been dropping off in the afternoon, and with a 4 o'clock high tide it just might be decent out there. I plan on dropping some pots in crab harbor, then paddling around and fishing the south jetty for a bit.
If the wind doesn't let up, I'd be down for a river drift, too. Everything is pretty low and clear right now, but I'm sure there is still a fish or two hiding out somewhere. Post up if you're going to be around.

How did you do? I wish I would have found this earlier. I do the crab pots too sometimes. How did that go? We need to definitaly hook up soon. Do you have springer's yet in T-bay? Have you caught any rock fish? So many questions, so little time..:-X

It was a gorgeous day on the water, but the crab was definitely lacking. There are plenty of rockfish to be caught along the jetty, but the wind was blowing a little to hard from the E for me to venture out around the corner yesterday. Springers are a much later game here than the big C, beginning of may is usually the first that many fish show up here. It's also the time for big nates and the broodstock fish on some of the rivers now, if we get some rain later this week, next weekend might be alright. Let me know if you're headed this way, there is always something to fish for here.

I will be looking at getting on the water near Tillamook this weekend.  Ocean if it lays down, anyone?
