That's the one I was thinking of.  Thanks.  The ridge I'm talking about is the one from Wapato point to across the lake directly to the south.

Steelheadr - I could try to go the 8th of May.  How does that jive with your schedule?

Lee,
Although I'll be available to fish that weekend, I will be returning to Portland from San Jose about 10pm on Friday. That will make driving up to fish Saturday AM pretty tough.

For May, it looks like the 15/16 weekend or 29/30 (Memorial Day) weekend would be the best for me.

We'll have to shoot for June then.  I have my daughters those weekends and I'm not dragging them to Chelan until I know it will be reliably warm/hot weather.

I have a site reserved for May 22.  Contact me if you would like to join us.  There will be room for one more tent at my site, and you'll only have to pay the $10 extra vehicle fee.

Well I'm almost ready for Chelan, Grabbed some 3oz Jig Heads (man those hooks are big compared to what I've been using in the PacNW) and picked up some plastic stuff in the form of Chartreuse Pepper Aquaglow

So, Jigging is ready.  I need to pick up a few more ACE Hi Fly lures for trolling.

I'm really needing a good fishing trip.  Things keep getting in the way and I'm getting antsy.  Between 4 kids all having their Birthdays between March and June, building an above ground garden, getting rid of my yard moss, and both of us working full time, finding time has proven difficult.  But I refuse to be Gary!

I only have myself to blame for not fishing yesterday, BUT, tonight I hope to provide you guys with pictures of baby Lingcods I took this weekend on Oak Bay.  It was pretty cool flipping over rocks and finding these guys hiding in little pools.  got several pictures of some 2-3 inch baby lings and some pictures of eels and the standard other little critters.

As opposed to, say, a below ground garden?  I'm not a gardener so maybe I missed a cave gardening fad  :)

The city, or some organization, sent out a bunch of fliers and put commercials on the TV about not digging in the dirt or eating stuff you grow in your yard in our area.  You can see some details here:  http://www.ecy.wa.gov/programs/tcp/sites/tacoma_smelter/ts_hp.htm

So, my solution is an above ground garden.  A big wood box, lined with plastic, so I can grow my veggies and not have my kids get cancer.

Some fun reading for ya:
