I live in South Tacoma - you ever notice how often Pierce County is on "Cops" ?

In the last year, there was a drive-by literally 1 block away from my house, two guys shot an armored car driver in a Wal-mart, and those 4 Lakewood cops were shot 2 miles from my house.  Neat huh?

Add that in with too many close calls in Afghanistan, and packing is pretty much a neccessity in my mind.

Yikes, That sucks. I'd be armed to the teeth, I mean, more then i am now. 
 
I lock my house doors at night, but that's about it. Leave my keys and wallet in my truck all the time unlocked. Leave stuff out. My place is set back from the road a bit.

Unless they're counting dogs this year, it shouldn't take them long to count to ..... 1

Het Spot - thanks for answering my earlier questions.  My daughter and I are paid up, just got done with her entry and it worked for me.  We will check in tonight with you folks at Chinook Bend to sign waivers.  Thank God we have an ocean rockfish classic.  Should be alot of fun.  See you tonight for the sign in -

Stay safe and have fun.  I really wanted to be there, but about 30 (+ a few) years ago a girl was born on the same day of the month as the 2010 ORC.  We both grew up, I met and married her and I found out recently that Father's Day weekend does not trump her birthday, nor the plans we had made.  Ah well, there is always next year.
