These guys work with Yakima, Thule, and other brands, both new and used.  We picked up a Swagman Contour Kayak Rack which mounts on my ladder / kayak truck rack.  Mike helped us and even went so far as to make sure they would install on my rack himself.   They are in Portland on NE Sandy Blvd, and were very good to work with.  www.ReRackPDX.com -

I agree!  I needed 4 sets of saddles for my yak trailer build.  I would have had to rob a bank to buy what I needed online or at places like REI.  They hooked me up with what I needed for less than half what I would have paid retail.

I'm thinking of heading there today.  Anybody else have experience with them?  I'm floored by rack prices, and they seem like the only hope.

they're a great shop, and conveniently right down the street from me.  I picked up a pair of used Yakima Hullraisers for the same price as you'd find them on Craigslist.  I got home to find that one of them was bent.  I went back down there the next day and the swapped them out without even asking for a receipt.
