Despite having not logged into NWKA since October, I just received an AOTY payment from CoosBayYakker a couple days ago.

On top of that, today he posted a lingcod..

The South Coast crew are good people.  Went down there last year and fished with several of them.  Sunset Bay is a really cool launch, and the area is just beautiful.  Nice guys too.  Traded some leadhead jigs with RevoRoy and saw his kayak loading system in action - really slick.  He caught a nice ling that day.  CBY caught a couple blacks, and it was all alot of fun.  Got to take the wife there sometime.  Sunset Bay is a sweet surf launch.

I see a trend here.  I think Roy Hibernates for 3mos a year, waking up as soon as the ocean calms down enough to fish.   ;D

Damn, has it really been that long!! Good to be back. Was only gonna be offline for about a month to do some remodel work in my house. Ended up finding a new place that i had to have, remodeled my house, sold it and ended getting the new place. Been working my butt off to gte it all together but it worked out awesome. My new place is sweet and i've got tons of parking an tent space for a NWKA get together down here.

Can finally relax a little now and ready to do some fishing!! Got out in the bay(not sunset), inside the bar entrance yesterday and today with the two fish to show for it. Caught a few underlings and almost a seal, sucker is lurking and tries to grab the fish as you reel it up, got one guys lingcod as it neared the surface, stupid furbags!!

Spot, I am pretty much as big as a bear, and almost as hairy.... had to hibernate 5 months this year and the conditions still suck. It's been the worst conditions for longer then i have seen since 2002 when i moved up to Coos Bay, sucks.....I NEED SALT... :(

Yes, EO, it does seem that alot of the SCC has been abducted. I heven't seen some of them myself except the usual suspects(Ralph,Roy,Reed).

Thanks for the welcome backs dudes, now lets fish!!
See ya on the water..
Roy

Oh yea, My first Copper ever BTW. nice to catch something different. The meat on this one was very white, even without being bleed out. The Ling was the most brilliant blue i've ever seen, "almost" a shame to filet it out , pan fry it in garlic butter and eat almost the whole thing to my head...yep, almost... ;D
