yeah, they discontinued these in the early 2000's. I paddled one back in '99 or so. nice boat at the time, more of a touring-oriented SOT than most others. Found a few images floating around Google, here's a link to one:

Heritage has also done a couple SOTs along that same idea of a more fitted cockpit & increase performance, but I never got a chance to paddle those.

My wife paddles a dolphin and loves it.  It is a bit unstable for sitting and fishing.  Several of my friends that have little experience kayaking have used it on trips with me and a couple have gone for a swim.  It can really move for a SOT though.  Hope this helps.

wish they still made it. It's pretty much the same specs as the OK Scupper Pro, but with a multi chine hull rather than the basketball-width keel that OK does on all SOT's now. Shouldn't be unstable unless you are over 250lbs. Definitely more efficient.

As long as you don't lean your torso outside the perimeter, it won't flip. It's not going to feel like sitting on the dock like most OK's, but it's way more stable than what I fish out of. Perfect for a smaller dude or lady. 120-175lbs.

It is essentially a SOT version of the SIK Necky Looksha 14.....which is so stable yet performs like a real kayak.....which is why we use them in our beginning skills kayak classes. If it were your first time in a boat, that's what I would put you in to teach edging etc. Either a looksha 14 or WS tsunami 14.....both are pretty much the same hull as the dolphin. Tsunami is only 26 wide though.....the boat I fish out of is 21 wide & 17ft long....so it's all relative.
