Kind of a wrong place, wrong time thing.

Hmm, now why does the whale has a reflection on the water but the kayaker does not...

There is a small reflection that almost looks like a head and torso, but it's too small.  Funny picture though.  Should be on one of those motivational posters with the black border and a little phrase under it.

Can you imagine that?! Talk about a pucker moment!

"Yep, that is me in the picture.  Yep that is a whale that was just around the corner from the ferry terminal. "Paddle really fast" is the only thing I could think of at the time.. I don't see any wake whatsoever behind the kayak, so he must have been sitting completely still here. 

hmmm, wait a second, i think i might see the yakkers shadow. Take the cursorand run down the middle of the guys back down to the water, theres a small dark spot of a ripple. Below that you can see a faint outline of the top of his PFD(very square shadow. like PFD) and head...

I consider this case closed.  

no way in Hades is that NOT Photoshopped..

If I were behind taking a picture, you can bet I would be taking more than one. Therefore, if this were a real event, I would think there would be several more photos of the aftermath circulating around the net as well. Just my 2 cents.
