Seems rediculously excessive to me.  Specially when folks catch them all the time on plain jigs.

Total "bringing sand to the beach" concept.  A good squid tipped jig in the right location is all you need to catch lings IMO.

Pssstt ... something very similar to that works well on tidewater pinks and chums, tipping a jig.  But I can make 1/2 dozen prawns last a whole session.  5 pounds?  Just for greenling?  I betcha I can outfish him with a 3" white curly tail.
