18 hours of fishing yielded a single 18.5" 1.25lb walleye.  First fish off the new Revo and my first walleye.  Caught mid-day on Sunday on Moses Lake right over the saddle between Goat Island and the Mainland in about 12' of water, on a bottom bouncer, wedding ring spinner, and a pumpkin Berkley worm.

Fishing partner caught a 17.5" around 4:30 pm 300 yards north of the Batter Road boat launch.  Same basic rig in a little shallower water along the shore.

On Saturday Potholes was dead for walleye. Of the couple dozen folks we talked to only two had fish, and both catches were from the extreme east end of Lind Coulee.

Fish photo and cooling off photo.  I'll review my Revo experience in the Kayak Shed, and the rigging in Drillin' & Cuttin' / Hobie Revo Rigging.

Moses Lake had hundreds of SMB beds in one area, but neither of us wanted to harass/stress them.  There was a guy who C&R's a bunch.  Since they hover around their beds protecting the eggs, they get pretty hungry, and are at times very easy to catch.  Despite our lack of fishing success, we passed - it was a little tempting - just a few.

Thanks for the report, D.
Nice job sticking with it till you got your first walleye! Regarding the SMB's... hundreds of beds in one area and you were worried about harassing/stressing them??!! Shoot, SMB's breed like... well... SMB's! Sounds like a little harvesting would probably help rather than hurt the fishery. And, DUDE, aren't you entered in AOTY?? A C&R'd 10 incher is 90 points!

Again, nice job on the walleye.

My principles are not for sale.

However, when you put it like that .... DOH!

I guess bedding SMB on Moses Lake in mid-May means bedding SMB on the west side in mid-June?

80F.  I run cold so I was comfortable while my fishing partner was shirtless and in shorts and barefoot.  I start getting really comfortable in the 80s.  I once visited New Orleans in July during a spell of 98/98 weather and I was the only person in the city wearing long pants.

Under the semi-dry suit I had a poly-tee and light synthetic hiking pants and stout cotton socks.  If I got a bit warm, I just dragged my hands and/or feet in the water and/or splashed water on the suit.  I just submerged once after landing to relieve myself on land and swimming to get a beer from my partner.  Turned out the beer was on my yak - he didn't want to carry the weight :-)
