If someone wants to bring a fryer or two like last time, I'll bring some Pride Of The West. If we get shut out of the ocean I think I have some rockfish to spare that I can bring also.

How dare you even suggest such a thing!?!?!?
Go wash your mouth out right now!

I'll bring the big stove I brought last year.  I still need to find someone with a site that they would be willing to share.

They are charging $15 per tent, not per campsite if you are planning on being in the group camping area.  :-\  It would've been nice to be able to split the cost out, but the amenities might just be worth it... especially if I run out of beer  >:D (stumble to the store instead of finding a willing sober driver).

So does this mean that if I plan on sleeping in my truck like last time, I still have to pay the $15 bucks per night? Or are we able to "split" a site?

Is anyone thinking of bringing "fish fry gear"?

If everyone wanted to throw a fish or two into the group pile we could do up some serious fried fish.  We have a sorta small group and if we just want to tag team on the fish and then have some sides and desserts we could keep it simple.  BUT if the ocean locks us out we could end up hungry...  Thoughts

hmm, this is the time of the year when i'm eating fish 4 days a week anyway so a fish fry is not a high priority for me, plus it is so messy. I'm still planning on bringing a beef dish.
See ya on the water..

Yo guys. I work for a broadline food distributor here in PDX and could get a killer deal on a case of Natural 2/1 Ground Chuck burger patties, buns, tillamook cheese... whatever we want if you guys want to pitch in some $. I could get it all at cost. Maybe do it Friday night? Does anyone like cheeseburgers? :laughing8:

I'd be down with throwing in a few bones in for some burgers (sans cheese) Friday night.

I like the burger idea for friday night.  Saves me from having to make pulled pork ;D and everyone likes burgers.  Let us know what a fair share would be for the grub.

I like this idea.  I'll kick down some $$ towards this.  I'm hoping to show up in the afternoon Friday.

Is someone planning on bringing a BBQ?

I have another question about the campsite. It's a little off topic from the burger topic(which I like and will for sure throw in on BTW). Is there a fish cleaning station at the camp area? I don't want us all to be bottle-necked at the fish cleaning house in the Depoe Bay harbor parking lot.

I had planned to bring my fryer, spider, LP tank and big burner again, as well as two plastic tables for putting the food on.

Update 6/13....changed my mind on the below items.  Not sure now what I'm bringing.  :-\

Ya know, we could spread a smaller amount of fish out much further if we were to make fish tacos with them.

If ya'll are game, I'll bring the following ingredients:

Corn tortilla's (heat them on the BBQ)
Cilantro (chopped)
Lime (wedged)
Cabbage  (shredded)
Cheeze (shredded)
T'mators (chopped)
Avocado (sliced thin)
Sour cream / Valentino's (mixed together)

We need at least 3 boxes of Pride of the West (Yaknitup)...we went through alot of it last year.

Also, need 1 gallon of peanut oil per fryer.  Pelagic and I are bring'n fryers, can someone bring the oil?

let hope so.. as its an "all-depth day" for halibut on that Saturday and the ramp and the cleaning station will most likely be VERY busy.

So, I just called the Resort and they want to see as many fish on their property as possible, they love to look at fish.  They have a couple places to clean fish on site and we are open to use as we need.   :headbang:

So... carpooling to and from the bay.

I am pushing REALLLLLY REALLLLY hard to have my trailer ready (not painted, but functional) by the time we head down there.  Will be dropping my camper at my site and will have the 8' bed of my truck and room on the trailer for some kayaks, and gear to carpool to the dock. If anyone needs to leave a car at camp with their better half, my truck seats 5 adults no problem.
