New Guy

I joined a while ago and lurked for a bit. I just got a new to me Ocean Kayak t13 and thought I would introduce myself.  I'm on the north end of Whidbey Island and decided to give kayak angling a try.  I have had a variety of small boats and canoes in the past, but this is my first kayak.  Anybody up this way?

Welcome aboard Masterchief!  Post up open invitations when you're hitting the water and someone will eventually bite.  Congrats on the new boat, you won't regret it.

Ahoy there, MasterChief. You've got a potential fishing buddy here. I live in Marysville so and work in Mt Vernon so some hookups are possible. Just let me know and if free i'll bite on getting together. Always looking for company and shared fishing knowledge. Welcome.

Welcome, the T13 is a great fishing platform.  First suggested modification is to add a rear hatch at the back of the live well.  There is a space just for a hatch.  Having access through this location will make other customizations much much easier - like anchor trolley, cleats, ...

This is a great place to lurk and learn Masterchief.  I'm in Oak Harbor and have fished around here since I was a kid in highschool.  I launch at Bowman Bay and fish around the area when tides and weather are good.  I'm retired, so most of my fishing is on week days when the crowds are light.

Maybe we can fish together sometime this summer.  Good luck with the new kayak.

Started as nuke SS after 6 years went conventional SW.  The nuke power program and I just did not get along
