Try $50. These are some nice traps. Way nicer than Danielson. Just like full-size but folding for us kayakers.

Z

Zee,
I've been looking at these traps and the Danielsons. Since I'll only be buying 1 or 2, I like the Promars a bit better. However, the Danielsons are on sale at Fishermans Marine right now at $12.99 (50% off) until July 25th.  http://www.fishermans-marine.com/ads/

Those are my traps and they're gonna cost me $20   >:D

($20 being the likely entry fee)

I do in fact have a secret bait.  I'll share it with you, but don't tell anyone else about it.

I'm out too, my niece is getting married.

I wish I could say I was going on a "retreat" it sounds so damn spiritual.

I do.  I'll take dramamine prior this time!

Also, we got a cabin at the campground, and my kids will be there, so spor and splat can have fun with them.  2, 6, 8, and 9.

Two questions:

1.  Can we get a decision on the price?  I guess it's not a big deal, but I would really like to know how many folks are coming.

2.  With the promar traps, what's the recommendation for adding in the requirement for rot-cord escape hatch thing that the regulation requires?  Is that an escape door on the front in the picture, that could be modified to fit the regulatory requirements?

Edit:  Hope a lot of folks are making it to this.  Drop your traps then hit up some good bottom fish action!

We were hoping to get some more feedback before deciding a price so lets wait until Monday. We'd love to know the same as well but we're also still waiting on a reply from the WDFW.

I'm with you Lee, I'd love to see this be a great success. Lots of good fishing, prime chow, and good people.

Looks like you can just give the Promar traps to me and Lee.  Oh yeah, I suppose you can boil some water and melt some butter for us while we're out.  >:D

Really sorry I'm going to miss this one. I just picked up 2 pots and all the gear needed for less than $90.

Good luck to all. I think a trip to Netarts is in order soon!

I was definitely a fan of the new collapsible nets from Promar then the "new" cages from Danielson. It was nice to look at them side by side at iCast too. I still need a couple traps for the tourney, and i might pick up the promars instead of more danielsons.  They'll definitely be MUCH easier to handle on the kayak.

Zee, did you get my message?

Picked up one of those Promar Collapsable traps.  How do I rig that top rope?
