Fall Salmon Challenge rollcall

I just got off the phone with Jason at the ODFW (Salem).  

All Chinook (adult and jacks) caught in Young's Bay must have a healed adipose fin clip.  No exception.  Updates supersede any regulations issued at the begining of the season.

You can keep 1 unclipped Chinook from the Buoy 10 area and then continue angling for an additional adipose fin clipped Chinook adult Chinook or up to 5 adipose fin clipped Jack Chinook salmon in Young's bay.

You may only retain one Chinook (clipped or not) from the B10 fishery but you can continue to angle for Coho after retaining your Chinook.  

Young's Bay is defined as all water south of the new Hwy 101 bridge.

Make sure you mark your tags correctly.

Apparently the confusion isn't over yet.....  Stand by for an update out of the Astoria DFW tomorrow.

  i am having no luck with odfw in Astoria. so i decided to talk to the guy that's going to write me the ticket. used my connections down here with osp game troopers to get in contact with the guys in Astoria. they confirmed "CHINOOK SALMON IN YOUNGS BAY DO NOT HAVE TO BE FIN CLIPPED". jacks and coho must be clipped.
