CLOTHING

I was wondering what everybody wears to fish on their SOT's.  I haven't bought a Kayak yet...but I'm chomping at the bit.
Then I got to thinking about clothing - dry suit- wet suit?  No idea, I was personally thinking about my breathable waders with some kind of dry top.  Any advice?  Thanks.

Dress for immersion.  Air temp can be 80 plus and the water in the ocean can be down in the 50s or lower.  I wear a drysuit whenever I am on the ocean.  Some use wetsuits, which might be a better idea to a certain extent, since the wetsuit doesn't lose insulation if it tears or a zipper is left open.  My first trip out on the ocean was wearing waders and a mountaineering jacket.

Get the safest piece of gear that you can afford

Yup...that's what I was thinking.
Maybe later a Farmer John....ebay, or craigs.
But since I have waders....all I need is a semi-dry top (dry tops are a little spendy for me right now).
