Hey, just to let ya know that my boy Tanner and I will be heading down to Tugman State Park (Winchester Bay area) for some "Guys Only" time.
We are leaving the girls and the dogs at home, and just have some fun.

Very loose itinerary:

Fishing
Eating
Fishing
Campfires (Tanner owns starting and keeping them going)  8)
Fishing
Clamming
Eating
Crabbing
Skate park
Fishing

We'll be fishing from our OK Malibu Two XL, and targeting....Yellow Perch, Crappie, Bluegill, Catfish, LMB, SMB, and Trout.
If we can find a reasonably safe area for Tanner to throw some line in the ocean from shore, we'll target whatever bites.
I'm going to bring some crab pots so we can toss them from the pier at Winchester.
Not sure where or what to clam for, but will research this before heading down.

The plan is to head west to Lincoln City on Sunday morning, and south along 101 to Tugman.  No reservations have been made, so we are pretty open to land wherever.
We are targeting Tugman SP as our home base, but not locked in on that.

If anyone wants to come fish with us, show us some good panfish, sit around the campfire, or just throw us some more ideas.

PM me if ya want contact info.
We won't have internet while camping, as the laptop died a month ago.

Cool, I got your number and will call ya when we get down there.  If nothing else, swing by for some campfire.

Wish I could join you but Gotta work midweek. Will be on the coast over the weekend 8/13-14, returning Eugene the 15th for work 16th.

Fished Eel Lake a couple times... lovely lake, but haven't figured that one out so no fish mojo there for me.

Would like to try Tahkenitch or Siltcoos sometime this fall when the silvers are in (legal keepers). Heard there were good LMB in there, also may be some hybrid striper/smallmouth holdover from when ODFW was still making stupid stocking decisions. Not doing that now thank goodness  ::).

I will be in Nor Cal during that time visiting with old friends from college. My first solo road trip in ten years!

Hope you guys have a great time, and don't forget the nightcrawlers!
