Got a couple more pics from Umpqua. The bridge opened when i was trolling on wednesday i think. The thing rotates and boy does it take a long time!!. Traffic must have been stopped for a half hour. I didn't know what the heck was going on at first, heard a loud whistle and mechanical noise, i thought they were moving a boat out of drydock or something then i turned around and saw the bridge open.

My buddy Martin caught a 49.5 pounder a couple weeks ago, had to take a picture of his picture so not great quality. the tail is at the ground and he's not a short dude..... :o Oh man i want one!!

See ya on the water..

Also, on an Exciting note i verified that a Kayak angler caught a 40 pound Salmon on the Umpqua on monday or tuesday. His names Pete and he pilots an older Hobie Outback, i don't really know him, but have exchanged hellos trolling by on the Coos last year. I don't think hes on here unless he's lurking. I saw the picture at Turman Tackle in Reedsport. Boy, did that guy have a sh*t eating grin on his face!!
