Me and my wife headed up to fish lake, sunday after work. We set up camp real quick and hit the water, we caught just a few planters was all. Monday the forest service warned us of blue green algae bloom that hit the lake, and not to eat the fish or go swimming. Well that was lame news :( we had already paid to say till wendsday, so we decided to just stay. Tuesday morning i had the itch to go fishing so i got up and took off, didn't catch NADA >:( so i just paddled around a while and started going around stumps Bling bling ;D we went lure hunting the rest of the trip, i cant say Ive ever done so good. the last picture is funny, i true bullet weight.

Wow!  :o  Nice haul!

Pretty cool how it gives you a good idea of what people are using.  That's a lot of money saved for stocking your tackle box!

Nice haul!

DTS and I did that earlier this summer at Hagg lake.  Thought it odd to find a Sabiki Rig dangling off the roots of an over hanging tree.  DTS's son started scaling the cliffs to reach some, and toss them down to us while we held his kayak in place.  Called the process "Lure Shopping".  ;D

seems like everywhere i go kayaking, i find something whether its a bobber or a 8$ rapala. Fish lake was by far my best find, but I'm thinking if things keep going the way they are, the kayak investment will soon pay for itself. ;D

I'm thinking that's the best replacement for a skunk. You saved some serious scratch and they all look to be nice lures in all the right colors. CONGRATS! ;)

the last picture didnt turn out that good, but its acutally two muzzle loader bullets with holes drilled in them. I found the normal sparkplug, washers, nuts and bolt weights. but the bullets made me laugh ;D

way to get creative!  that's awesome!  there's tons of great gear there!  Those bullets aren't muzzle loader rounds though.  they're a wad cutter and a semi-wad cutter.  Some of those spoons will make great river lures for salmon or steelhead.

So named because they make nice clean round holes in wads of targets.

James: Nice haul, and you did everyone a favor getting them out of the lake. Another great place in low water is Howard Prairie. You won't believe the number of trolling rigs you'll find.

pick up a mask and some fins and get creative, I use a wet suit as it allows you to stay in longer even if the water is warm. You will be amazed at the amount of stuff you find.  I am on my 2nd 5 gallon bucket plumb full of lead from my local river.

Im going to get one of these for lure hunting, i almost fell out a dozen times reaching down. I have heard mask and fins is the way to go, i might need to try that some time.
