My son and I had to get out of the heat of Redding and head up to Bandon and Charleston for Labor Day. Great father/son time. We fished Coquille on Saturday. Saw a few salmon hook ups; however, not many landed.  We headed up stream on Saturday night. Winds kicked our butts. I ended up paddling as hard as I could and watched us going backwards. We got skunked. We went to Charleston on Sunday. Threw in some crab pots and each pulled out a limit. Half are already eaten and the rest will be gone by tomorrow night. Trolled around... zip. Once again  one boat had three hook ups right in front of us. none laneded. Saw very little action. The winds came up fast and create some nasty water. We were so beat on Monday, we headed home. We are still zip for salt water fish, but loving the jouneys. :smt001
