This is a really, really fun event to attend ... http://www.norcalkayakanglers.com/index.php/topic,9518.0.html

I know it's a long drive, at 9 hours from Portland, but some of you may be interested, especially if you are in Southern OR.  I will be attending and I believe Zeelander will as well.  Hope to see some of you crazies at this one.

I'm hoping to attend again this year to defend my buckle. However, I may or may not be moving to Portland at the beginning of October (I have a bid out on a house) so the timing could be bad for me.  I've even talked about carpooling with Zeelander, but the time still might be bad.  I hate uncertainty.

No worries Bsteves, we'll be hoping that at least you can show up and defend the belt. ;) And yes, I WILL be there. To all the NWKA boyz, this tourney is one of the main reasons why I like yakfishing so much. There's so many good people, good fishing, insane food, and all around good vibes @ BAM it makes it a can't miss tourney for me. The striper fishing can be  awesome w/ feeding frenzys of exploding shad and the catfishing and SM/LM bass are also fun. But overall it's the experience of the whole thing that makes it so great. What can I say... yakfishermen/women are good people! 8)

Hope to see some of you there. ;)

My underbid on the house has been accepted but the deal doesn't close until the end of October.  That and I still have the inspection period to weather.  If the inspection goes well looks like I'll still be down here for BAMIII (3rd Annual "Bendo at Mendo") and up in Portland just in time for some decent steelhead action and rain.   Maybe I'm a little biased because I won last year, but I have to second Z's glowing review of this event and would encourage others to try and make it as well.
