Is it a kokatat top? if so it has the neo already, you'd just have to remove the latex gasket.

Um no, not all Kokatat tops have the neo and latex.

I've been using the Kokatat super Nova Angler "semi-dry suit" since it came out (about 2 years ago) and have had a similar experience to Pelagic paddler in concern to the neck seal. It's extremely comfortable and after wrecking in the surf a bunch of times, even after getting dunked hard by some overhead waves, have only gotten a tiny bit wet at the collar of my T shirt. I know a dozen or two of people who also use the SuperNova Angler suit and have similar experiences.

Funny thing to think about here is the suit isn't like an open bucket waiting to fill with water. If you had a chance to see the "Wader of death" video on Youtube it illustrates the point I'm trying to make, but water pressure around your body actually stops the water from rushing in. I'm assuming you could flush the suit if you're having issues because of fit. If the fit is incorrect the suit isn't going to perform like it's supposed to. It's not the suit's fault.

Another thing to think about is when you're wearing a PFD, like I think all of us do, you're keeping the water line at your shoulders 90% of the time. Not at your neck line. That means that when you do dunk from a wave etc. it's just for an instant and you pop right back up. Unless we start kayak surfing I think we're all good. ;)

You can also cinch the neck down pretty tight with the velcro.  I did have my suit take a lot of water once, but it was when I fell over backwards off the sol duc river and well, I went in head first at an awkward angle and the suit was stretched a good bit.  It would not have happened if the neck was tightened or I fell in sideways.  (yes, it would have been really funny to anyone that saw it)

I ordered one of the new Kokatat Lightweight kayak Goretex dry suits, it has a neoprene neck----only Goretex one with that neck seal.  I"ll review it with pix when I get it (coming from OR Jantzen Beach store...)
