Went to PDX for the holidays, daughter and I went to Next Adventure and I pulled the trigger on a 2010 Hobie Adventure, daughter Kirsten bought a 2010 Revolution.
The deck layout is a bit different on the Addy, will have to mull over the FF and rod holder locations.  Plan to use the Ram mount expanding adapter in the mast hole, any ideas/advice from
you long-time Adventure pilots???  Pix, too, if you gottem....

Give me little time (I'm in the middle of painting plugs right now) and I will have some pics of my Addy.  Especially proud of my "kibble vault" 100% waterproof (it does not leak period) rear tank well dry box, beats the plano type boxes with one hand tied behind its back. Congrats on the new fishing MACHINE

Heres some pics of how I have my Adventure rigged.  Only changes will be some additions to the tank well area in order to haul larger fish >:D All hardware is stainless and either backed with large fender washers or custom made stainless backing plates.  Big fan of ram mounts both depthfinder and chart plotter are on rams.  The two fore and aft ram balls are for the Gopro hd on an ex shot extendable mount for both video and stills

Congrats on the new Addy KT! I think the salmon around Vashon Isl. just shuddered. NA must have hooked you guys up good w/ 2 yak purchases.

PP did a good job of showing how to rig an Addy. The Vittle Vault is a real nice one for sure. Very comparable to the Plano in price but the VV is darn near bomb proof. The Plano has been ok but leaked when barging through surf or tipped over in water. Do you have the 15 (4.7 gallon) one PP?

I assume its the 4.7 gal one, I just measured it and its approx 14 inches square and 13 inches tall.

I can attest it is totally bomb proof if rigged correctly (needs a little silicon on the through bolted hardware and around the neck of the lid).  I tested mine by submerging it for a couple days in a rain barrel full of water and not a drop leaked in, try that with any Plano box.  I have wiped out in the surf many times and never a leak.  The large opening allows lots of easy access. I carry all my offshore gear in 1/2 sized plano boxes (3-4) and a soft case for plastics, with a ton of room left over for other gear etc.  I even put the depth finder and the chart plotter and my VHF in there while going through the surf zone

Check those VV's often.  They are not completely indestructible.  I've used one for my cats for years, but finally started getting a crack around the rim.  But that could just be my male cat trying to break in.  He's figured out how to unscrew the lid if I don't tighten it down, so I'm probably overcompensating and tightening it down too much and hence the crack.   ::)

Keep your cat away from your yak gear PPedaler. ;)

Look at the 3rd and 4th pictures.  You can see the wire coming out.

Transducer is in a foam puck (made from a large pool noodle) directly under the back portion of the seat, I add a little water to the puck before launching. The cables come up though a twist lock through hull fitting (silicon the top for 100% water tight) directly behind the mast Ram mount.
