My buddy took out his new 140 dollar Big Kahuna for a spin yesterday. For the price it's pretty good, it floats.

I was testing the third generation video cam mount. We were treated to a cool rainbow. A fun day without much fishing.

See ya on the water..

Hey Roy, is that camera mount your own design?
What holds it in the track you have on your bow?
When are you going into production with that?

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.  --Mark Twain

Roy, it looks like you've been putting your woodworking skills to work. Nice job on the camera mount. How about a titanium version with a universal mount?  ;)

Yep, it is.

For now it's a piece of wood captured in a channel of wood. Well sorta captured you can slide it out either end. Slides great until it gets too wet.

That depends, how much would you pay for one that was Carbon Fiber, gimbal mounted with optional mind control(some minor brain surgery required)?  :violent1:

You could coat it in epoxy and make it waterproof.  Then just rub some wax in the channel or on the slide.  I did something similar for a fish finder sliding mount for my SINK.  I didn't use a channel slide though.  I used a slot and a couple nylon bolts and nuts.  I like your version better.  The epoxy kept the wood on mine from swelling. When you coming up here? I have lots of epoxy.  I could give you a small batch.  It wouldn't take much.  The first coat really soaks in, though.
