Rain falling hard on a flat roof
Wind on tap all day
Hagg Brooders planted, I need proof
So off I go to play

Ah the life of a crash test dummy......

Sad to say
it was not my day
Not even a case of one getting away

The morning was calm and soggy but I was blown off the water at 2PM. Saw one brooder taken on a wedding ring.  8 boats on the lake.  I managed one little planter....
Next time!

Too windy for fishing!   I spent my day on Mount Si.

Hats off to you Spot, my dogs think I'm a big loser because I wouldn't venture out into the wind and power outages with them. I think your planter is a big winner.

I was out visiting some friends in inner S.E. when that same cell passed over just before 3:00PM. I wouldn't have wished that on anybody. It was 30 mph steady and coming down in sheets there for a while there.

Some video of being blown right off Hagg would have been pretty cool.

Yeah, there's a reason it's called fishing and not catching.

When that 1st cell came thru, it went from dead calm with rain showers to blowing 30MPH in an instant.  You could see a wall of what looked like fog moving in and then BAM!
I tried to stick it out and wait for it to pass but even with back paddling I was being blown to the boat ramp at 2MPH.  I'm really glad that cell didn't generate any lightning!

That storm was nuts! I was steelhead fishing the clack when the air become very dark and still, then wham the wind hit, branches and buckets of rain were pound out of the sky. I had just finishing side drifting thru a run when the storm hit and luckily was close to the carver bridge for shelter. The wind was so strong I had to hang on to one the bridge pylon while still seated in my yak until the storm blew over. I was lucky to be under the bridge as I saw a large pine tree and huge branches snapping off into the river. The day was over with no possible way to fish. There was so much debris in the water. I could hear multiple emergencys nearby as the only sound to follow the wind were sirens.
Freakin nuts!
