Could be laying down for a bit . The report has been dropping steadily from 12.5 in the early AM today. Early launch, 6 AM and hope to get a few good hours in. Come on down.

Could be shaping up for next weekend too!
See ya on the water..

Looking forward to a report if not movies.  Just like the reports soon of many daily Springer hook-ups.

A 6 AM launch was a bit optomistic, considering it's still dark at 6 am..who knew?

At 7 i launched to mediocres seas and pedaddled to the outside heading norrth and soon realized the north side was gonna be a washing machine. Before i turned around to go back south i saw some good structure and decided to drop my 6 inch motor oil grub down and see if anything was biting and a couple minutes later i was staring at my first keeper size lin at the side of the yak, thankful i had turned around  to grab my lip grippers i had forgot the first time out the driveway.

I gripped him slapped him in the drive well, cut both sides of his gills and released the grippers to let him bleed out in the drive. Well that SOB did a two step boogie right out the drive well and landed sideways across the front hatch with a couple inches of each end over the side. I froze...The fish froze..i lunged in a futile attempt to grab the fish right as he flopped his head back and opened his toothy Maw, which is right were my fingers ended up when i lathed down and pulled my prize back into the drive well.... Now the fish was pretty much done bleeding and i was just starting and now i got two sore poked and slashed fingers and my first keeper Ling of the year...It was a great day!

The conditions went from marginal to worse in just two hours and i ended up with the ling a perch and a greenling. the blacks are still not around much.  Gotta repair my camera mount, didn't take pics really.

See ya on the water..

Sorry about your fingers.  Nice fishy.  I looked at the buoys & surf report at 5:00 this morning and thought you'd have a real nice day on the water.

Impressive!  OK, you've had your head start Roy.  Now it's time to start fishing.
