Is that a peach with a hat on it?   ???

If you drew that yourself......nice drawing, however you fish much better.  ;)

It wasn't intended to down Bsteves wife.  She's a lucky lady to have him around.

Yup, I think an asshat is in order.

Would sit in kayaks be out of the question for Depoe Bay?

With proper sit in kayak gear, knowledge and skills, it shouldn't be a problem.
Without proper sit in kayak gear, knowledge and skills, it shouldn't be attempted!

Last year we had probably the most experienced sit in kayaker in Oregon come down to the ORC, but did not get his kayak wet.
Not sure what the reason was exactly.

Sounds like a question for our OG Yak Fisher, Kallitype...... How bout it, Ter, you think a 12 foot SinK would work there??
As of July 12th, I am, officially,  retired.

I agree with Insayn.

Having immersion gear and the ability to self-rescue are the minimum I would recommend. I don't think you want to be a liability to yourself (or others, if you end up needing rescue.) If you do meet that minimum, going out with a group for your first time is a good idea.
