The fish fry that never happened

Yes, I fished today. The fishing was as bad as the conditions which were barely tolerable. But that's not the story at all the story is what happened after the fishing had ended...

I took my two hard earned and pretty decent fish to the cleaning station and fileted them all beautiful and boneless, planning a tuesday evening fish fry in my head. I grabbed the plastic bag out of my pocket and it instantly blew out of my hand and started gliding across the parking lot.
I gave chase for about 25 feet and realized there was no way i was gonna catch the thing so i turned back and walked back to the cleaning table which was missing something...My pile of filets were completely gone!! and there were some very content looking seagulls standing on the railings....Son of A B&*^%!!

fish fry cancelled...Until wednesday

Oh man, that sucks so bad!!  I HATE THOSE THINGS!!  Freaking rats with wings.  Next time leave a fillet from your smallest rockfish for them but stuff some alka-seltzer tablets in it.   

I hate seagulls too.  They do put up a spirited fight when hooked though.

ug, that's tough.  I had a seagull hovering around me yesterday as well. fortunately it never had the opportunity it get a really good look at things.  One did get a couple pecks at fish left in the back of Mike's boat back on the beach...

but, wow, whole fillets... that sucks...

You know, seagulls will empty the contents of their stomachs when scared and needing to fly.  You could have gotten your fillets back by running at them screaming and flapping your arms.

Yea, my 870 would have done a number on 'em too but i don't think a raving lunatic blowing seagulls out of the air would have gone over too well...

I handled it rather well, after just staring dumbfiunded at the table for a minute or so, i just shrugged my shoulders and walked away.

Time for an even better day on the water..

870?!  Is that a typo?  There would be nothing left of the bird, or any of the things behind the bird...

that makes it harder to prove anything, and thus avoiding fines and jail time! 

That blows! I've had a hungry seagull fly down and steal piece of pizza right out of my hands that I was about to take a bite of. It hit me so hard it sent my sunglasses flying from my face and left a big scratch on my face. Pisssssssssed!

Lets chock this up to the Karma gods.  You paid respect to the Seagull gods, so you will be rewarded with bigger and better fish next time out.
If not, SCREW the Karma gods!   

Oh man... Sorry Roy, I dont mean to seem insensitive about losing your fish, but c'mon... the visual of your story is making me laugh! Especially if you did this:

Nothing to do but laugh about it now. Somehow I doubt thats the first or last time that has happened.

This just means you have to go catch more fish!
