Dana and I launched at 7:30 and quickly realized as we pedaled around the outside to go south that Simpson Reef was out of the question. The conditions started iffy and just got worse.

We instead headed north as it looked a little calmer. We got around the north side and fished that area for a good 4+ hours as the wind kept building and building. By the time we headed south it must have been blowin a steady 25 at least with crazy gusts. going from the north to south side was  as rough as i have seen it in a long time.  One wave slapped danas rudder and turned him completely sideways. A little pucker factor on that one.

I can't complain about the fishing, 4 lings, none under size, a couple blacks and a fat greenling. Not bad for the conditions.

Dana got some action and kept a decent Ling.

Fun day.

See ya on the water..

Another good day on on the water.  I'm glad we headed north the wind started about 9:00 am and by 12 was blowing hard.  I caught 2 underlings, one nice ling, a black, and a sculpin.  Roy caught some nice size lings.    We were pedaling against the wind most of the day.  Here a few pics on the water.

My sd card got full and i couldn't remember which ones i already downloaded and forgot to erase off the card so i was reluctant to delete files i might not have on my computer already, so i took limited pics/video.
