Holy Sh*t!!!! Wait until you see this video with everything going totally wrong. The Angler in the video is my buddy Jeffro who has had an unbelievable last couple days catching lots of Springers from his kayak. He shot this video from a Go-Pro mounted on his hat. As you will see in the video....TODAY IS NOT HIS DAY!!!

Now sit back and enjoy the show..

That was AWESOME. Hey, if you can still catch the fish with all that going wrong you should head straight to Vegas. Sort of a glass half full perspective. Well played sir.

Like the video Jeffro.  "How not to catch a salmon" is what I do - not catch salmon.  I would call that video "How to overcome multiple challenges and CATCH a salmon."  I think you did a great job hooking and landing that puppy.  Nothing to be ashamed of there.

Thanks for the video Jeffro.  It gives me a nice warm sense of schadenfreude.

Actually, if you want to see the real "how not to catch a salmon"... just follow me around one day.

Well if you believe that the ends justify the means, then I thought your buddy did a great job. Kept calm, fixed every issue and most importantly landed the fish. I'd say kudos on landing a really nice fish under tough conditions. Things happen sometimes our fault, a lot of times not. The key is to succeed despite the adversity!!!

That is so cool that you posted a "screw-up" video.  Helpful to see.  You maintained your composure well given the situation.
It's a good example of a fish tiring out enough to make the net job easy. (Or maybe the fish was laughing too hard to fight   ;) )
I do believe that video is an "Instant Classic" and will be watched far and wide for many years to come!  Thanks again for posting it...

That’s freaking awesome. Reminds me of my first and only springer landing without the use of the net.

OMG!  That had me laughing out loud at work.  My co-workers keep looking at me funny now.

Beautiful carnage there Jeffro!  Thanks for posting it Jammer.

See what happens when you fish from a Hobie?

Oh come on.  We've all been there.  OK, maybe not with broken rod in hand.

That there was some funny shit.

Wow, that's some good video right there!   :D  At least he's catching salmon though which is not the case for me.  ::)

Was that a Buzz IM7 or IM8 he was using?  Not exactly a good plug for that rod.

This was a great effort & he never gave up. In fact I was there and actually in this video, fishing from my aluminum boat. The fourth fish I saw Jeffro catch in two days. I've fishing for the springers from my PB, but after seeing Jeffro and Jammer catch springers, I may have to try springers from the yak again.
