Setup is in full swing!  I'm going to try and get on the water on either Saturday, Sunday or Monday to take in some live blues.  I'll probably be poking around for some bass too.  Anyone else thinking about it?

I'm thinking about it.... I'm thinking how crazy you are.
Have you seen the Willamette in front of McCall Park during the blues fest?  Keep in mind, most of the operators of those boats are drunk and/or stoned.

Yeah, my plan was to work the shorelines and try to stay out of the crowded areas.  I might end up spending plenty of time in the marina.  I figured I'd like to at least give it a try.

I was thinking of how I wanted to get on the water this weekend, your plan sounds interesting. I need to get some tips on what the bass are biting around here, some of my older soft baits I used elswehere only got me 2 small bass this last weekend.Might prowl fishermans for some better stuff tomorrow.

I used to anchor my boat down there for the Blues Fest. We used to spend the weekend on the boat, great music and lots of fun.  Be careful! Lots of traffic and not the best skippers at the helm I felt nervous in a 28fter :o.  That said there can be some great people watching if you know what I mean (hope for hot weather) ;D :o

Probably be offered boatside beer and BBQ, too.

I'm planning on hitting the water tomorrow morning for starters and working between the Hawthorne and Marquam Bridges.  I'm still not sure about what days this weekend I'll be on the water.  I'll post up, but it might be late notice.

Being a "Bass" guy I'd suggest crankbaits and rattletraps. Then if that wasn't working go to the plastics. The smallmouth are getting really active right now. - Yokut

Seven casts, two hookups then lost the crankbait.  Rode my training circuit today and noticed that parking was scarce.  If it comes to it, review my previous posts, you can park for free and float (1.3mi) down to enjoy the tunes.  It"s an offer for anyone but the plastic navy gets accolades.

Man, if I didn't have other obligations, I'd sooooooo go down there and act as the official NWKA photojournalist.

I have a feeling we'll get us a Jade Soliloquy in the coming days, though....
