Just curious, how do you store your mirage drive when not in use. Did you purchase a storage bag, what is the most common way to store.
My New Motto is.... "Live like Ron"

Hopefully somewhere close to my Addy, where I can find it, next time I need it.  Bag looks cool, but I would prefer a larger bag that could hold more gear like drysuit, PDF, doughnuts, beer, or any of the other of hundreds of pounds of gear that I carry around.
If it wasn't for flashbacks, I'd have no memories at all.

Got a big duffle at Target. Carries my mirage, seat, battery, fish finder and assorted other gear. Bag cost $25 - 30.

I have a Tandem Island so I have two Mirage Drives to store. I stole one of my wife's large, heavy duty, clear plastic "chest" type storage bins (we have too much Christmas decorations anyway).

It fits my two drives, two Hobie seats, two Stearns flotation cushions, 4 PFD's, etc. It fits perfectly in the back of my little ML-320 SUV. I try to sail several days a week so it's in there most of the time. It even has casters so I can roll it around the garage if I take it out of the SUV.

I have mine hooked up to a special mount in front of my easy chair and plan to use it as a fan if it ever gets hot here!

But seriously, don't ask me how I know but, the Hobie bag is too small.  My favorite is a large Air Force carry on bag I bought many years ago for traveling the world on military aircraft.  Those AF guys used to throw our stuff around a lot - it's very durable and still looks new after 20 years!  Wonder if they still issue them.

I bought a "Tackle Master Cart" last year from Costco......it is basically a roll around fishing storage cart that holds 18 rods and has three wire shelves....like a kitchen storage wire rack.....it cost $69 and was a very good investment.
The top wire rack holds my Mirage drive.......it drops into the wire shelving that are spaced 3/4" apart and rests on the plastic housing the fins nest  into.
So there is no stress on the fins or anything else in the drive mechanism.
This is a simple solution and all of my tackle/gear/kayak stuff is stored in one location so I do not forget anything the next time I go fishing. :banjo:
