Fresh Dungeness Crab???

I've been hearing some excellent reports on crabbing lately and now feel I need to go and check for myself.  Is anyone interested in Kayak crabbing tomorrow near Lincoln City? Low tide tomorrow is at 9:03Am and High is 3:14pm. Either respond here or send me a PM and we'll figure out where to meet. I plan on being out there by around 7:30Am..

I met up with Jammer this morning and we headed to Lincoln City.  He let me borrow one of his Hobies since we could fit them both in the box of his truck.  After 5 straight hours of pedaling back and forth from ring to ring fighting the current, I can tell you there are muscles in my ass and thighs I did not know existed, nor have I been maintaining them.  I am scared of what tomorrow will feel like.  But I digress.  Back to the crabbing.

The crabbing was PHENOMINAL!!! If you are into catch and release crabbing.  We each easily boated well over 100 crabs. I got one keeper, Jammer got three.   And, after loosing my fourth piece of gear in less than two weeks (not counting crankbaits), I think I may have to invest in a leash, or two.  Luckily, it was only a crab gauge.

Here are a few pictures.  The weather was nice, but it sprinkled off and on.

Jammer was kind enough to give me one of his so my wife wouldn't go hungry. Thanks Jammer.  They were delicious.

Nice work Craig. How are your legs and shoulders TODAY?? We covered a Sh!t load of water for only 4 crabs. They tasted awesome though! I'm still laughing about your wife's mention of us "going to Sluts(siletz) bay to catch crabs".

I took 600 mg of ibuprofen last night and felt ok this morning.  I forgot to take some this morning and by this afternoon I was sore.  I'd do it again.

Oh, and my wife posted this on her Facebook page, "I never tire of telling people that my husband went out and caught crabs with a guy he met over the Internet."
