Sorry to bring up this old thread but I'm just learning how to post pictures on here.

Second of five kayak caught salmon this fall. Alsea river.

Rigged kayak last July, Salmon River.

Done.

Thanks. Yeah, I can't believe I probably averaged one per trip overall. Much better than my bank fishing stats.  Looking forward to more new adventures in the future. Got the picture posting thing down now, too. See you all out there in 2012.

Chris

Yup, you had one heck of a rookie year Chirs!
Hope to fish with you again in 2012.

Nice fish and nice looking yak!  Great job!  I can't WAIT to see what year two brings for me! I'm sure you feel the same way.  This kayak fishing is every bit amazing as it is addictive!

Wow! Nice fish. Catching 5 salmon out of your kayak in any year, much less your first, is a great year! I will have to expand my efforts to do some salmon fishing one of these days. Is the Alsea a pretty kayak friendly river? Did you drift it or fish the tidewarer? Once again great job!

I went in the upper tidewater twice and down in the bay once and trolled herring and spinners. It was pretty tame every time. I avoided the mouth.
