I'll probably be there Sunday. Would like to meet some of the old and new faces in the club. I'll be fishing
light with 2 rods/reels, one being a very light Kokanee rod with 6lb test and the other a spinning outfit with 8 lb test. Anybody know if it's decent crabbing there? Might want to drop a couple of pots early. I'll
be strickly c&r unless someone wants the meat.

If I can get up there,  it will be pretty early around 6:00     If I see Kayak dropping crab pots, I will swing by and say hello.
I used to think that Bigfoot might exist. Then I saw the reality shows where they are looking for them.  Now I am certain they don't

Thanks Zee!   For suggesting I get back to my roots and throw buzz bombs from the yak.  Saturday, hooked 5, and landed 3 off Wells Point.  They all hit on the outgoing tide and the action stopped at the slack tide.

How did Sunday's Pink Pandemonium go?  Seemed pretty foggy until later in the morning.

No worries Nick. Glad it worked out.

We did pretty well chasing down schools and buzz bombing them. Great meeting new members and seeing you old goats too. I think the highlight of the day was when the fog rolled in and boaters panicked. Watched a $100,000+ fishing boat slam into the beach because he was hauling ass searching for it.

I am sorry I missed it. I had the kayak and gear loaded up to go, the alarm went off at 5:30, and my wife promptly started dealing with a bout of morning sickness. (She is 10 weeks along with our first). I decided to hang out with her and leave a bit later, then saw the fog forecast. The good things is I still have the kayak and gear loaded and plan on hitting the sound this afternoon (if work stays quiet).

I noticed a couple comments regarding all the kayaks and a stand-up board yesterday on one of the other fishing sites I look at...

I also noticed those comments from the other fishing site. I think those posters have a dislike for kayakers. Funny how he mentioned "motoring slowly through the BUNCH of kayak fishermen" without mentioning other boaters and crab pot buoys that he had to weave through or ran over. Or how about just holding position...dumb ass!

Zee forgot to mention that the beach-licking-boat was previously on a collision course with Rich, then another boat, then finally licked the beach. Later in the afternoon, the same boat tailed me at a close distance...then circled me when I had a fish-on....unbelievable!

Also, another boat trolling snagged a crab pot. We watched the buoy as it followed the boat...

Very interesting day...

Glad to hear you guys did well.

Why on earth would anyone haul ass in fog??? That sounds like some seriously reckless boating and they are lucky to "only" slam into the beach.

What reckless and potentially lethal behavior...

I haven't put in at Edmonds Marina Park before...is it the easiest launch site in Edmonds?

Now that, Sir, is the best way to build up your WAF account for future use.

FYI. After you all left with the thick pea soup and crazy, dangerous pber action,I still had to retrieve my 2 crab pots and my gps went t... up. Finally found and when I beached at Marina park I was approached by a park ranger who was going to cite me for the D. Crab I had aboard. I pleaded my case and thought legal
marked on the punch card, etc I was "violating the Edmonds Marine Sanctuary regulations". In a nut shell:
You can't beach fish or shellfish at Marina Park. Anyone know about these regulations? Anyway, sweet talked my way clear of being cited pleading ignorrance(totally true).
Was great to see a few of you hitting the Pinks with i think one triple header. Jereme held a hot hand for a while as did kykfisher. Zee could sight down those bugger's sure as Daniel Boone and be on them
lickety splitsville. And then there's me. I had this rod and reel at the start of the trip but not at the end.
Stupid animal trick #7. Enough said. guess I'll have to upgrade.
