Is the guided trip for last place?  They would probably benefit the most from it.

Great observation.  We just might have to make it for 6th place ... to help the guy make top 5 in 2012!!!  Thinking about it.

 I was just randomly thinking of numbers, and I came up with 9th place.  It just seemed right to me for some reason.

I think the guy in 9th place has to carry all the gear for the 5th place guy and his buddy (and the guide too!), then at the end of the day wash it all down and provide beers for the others.  Sucks to be the guy in 9th place.
