I am trying to talk a friend into coming down with me to meet you guys on Sunday.    If so,  would probably be hitting the water at first crack of light, but would be listening to the radio to hear when your launching to meet up.
I used to think that Bigfoot might exist. Then I saw the reality shows where they are looking for them.  Now I am certain they don't

I just got home Friday nite at 7:oo and it sounds like most folks are going to be fairly busy on saturday.Okay that works for me too. This will be a Sunday show..............
Plan to meet at the Aberdeen Burger King between 7 and 7:30 am.From there we'll go over to the launch at the mouth of the Wishkah River,That's on the wesy side of Wal-Mart's parking lot.The tide will still be going out for an hour or two so we can decide what direction to take once we're on the water.Have to maintain some flexibility...eh ?
When I was going over the Chehalis River bridge,I saw some nets in the river.More than likely Native gill netters. So that leads me to a couple of observations....1st--there are fish in the river.Probably lots of fish............2nd--the Wishkah River is NOT netted.hhhmmmmmmmmmmmm.........and 3rd--I need to and will see if I can find out what the netting scheduale is for the next few days.
That said---I'm looking forward to finally meeting some of you,and the more the merrier. The weather is supposed to be good, the fishing should be good, and meeting new people is usually good too.So come on down and let's make this a good time...........

Dang! Not going to make it! Going surfing instead. >:D

The surf is shaping up really nicely, with Sunday looking to be the best waves as the swell drops to 5', so I'm going surfing on Sunday instead of Coho river fishing. I would surf today, but then my painting wouldn't get done, and its #1 priority until its done.  That only leaves tomorrow (Sunday) for surfing, since the swell is forecast to build again a little on Monday, and I'm leaving to go do some work at my parents house then anyway. And I've always joked that surfing is my true religion. Unfortunately, I have more work planned for next week, with no fishing days in the equation until its done, unless I walk in to a spot I know for about an hour at the crack-o-dawn.

I do landscape work, and am finishing up some outdoor painting. I'll fish again after this awesome stretch of working weather gets cut short by some rain.

Since I am a surfer, surfing in good 5' waves always trumps "iffy" river Coho fishing. That's just how it is, and how it always has been, and always will be, as long as I can drag my surfboard down to the beach and paddle out. ;D

The waves haven't been to my liking for some time now (surfed some crummy waves on my longboard last Sunday, mainly for the paddling workout), and I really need to go surfing in some good waves. I'll be trying to finish up a painting project today. This weather won't last, and I can always fish for something later, in the rain.

Good fishing to you all!

It may be really foggy tomorrow morning so I'd suggest bringing lights/flags/whistles/horns etc.

We're just going to use our waders on this excursion. How is the launch? Do we need to bring our wheels?
