A fast action ultra-lite, closed face, spinning combo.
It's the ultimate rod for Exploring.

Well, not just any ol' milk crate would do so I had to buy a snazzy cover. This is the stock photo and while mine doesn't have the same stuff, its pretty damned close. Safe to say, there's entirely too frickin much.

I'm also hoping by late afternoon Monday, to have some pissed off Dungeness crabs in there battling it out

I just started working on my milkcrate.  The only thing attached so far is extra rod storage.

Extra rod storage, removable downrigger, and all sorts of tackle inside depending on the targetted species.

This thread is sadly devoid of pics.  I wanna see zip ties, chunks of PVC pipe, dueling crabs, cans of beer, scales, lures, and logos of the dairys from which you stole your crate.

Mighty fine effort there, Spot. Good thing you have a cooler, too. That beast may have eaten your lunch had it been in the crate.

Oddly enough, when I got started in kayaking I though I needed a milk crate to house all my gear.  I have since acquired nearly 20 genuine dairy milk crates from my local Goodwill for $0.99 each.  However, I have only used a milk crate in my kayak(s) maybe twice since 2008.  Once on Hagg Lake in my first or second time in the water with my T-13, and again on a night crabbing adventure at Netarts.  They work great keeping the spiders from escaping the tank well.

Now, my milk crates are used in my garage to store kayak fishing gear, and in my kayak hauling camping trailer to secure firewood, LP tank, and other stuff.

I only use mine for sturgeon fishing because it easily contains my anchor line spool, crab buoy and anchor.  The rest of the time, I use an orange water tight Plano box that has bungees for securing it to the yak.  I will use the crate for crabbing Monday, though. My crate has two rod holders attached and a bilge pump bungeed to it along with a safety flag.

Thanks AJ (aka the Milk Man). Funny part is, I had been on the NWKA forum for about a week and everyone kept talking about milkcrates. I knew I was covered because I already had a few. Then, I get my my OK T-11 and it turned out, a milkcrate doesn't fit in the back. Well, I did some jig saw modification to make it fit, added four rod holders, a few other goodies and my super cool cover, only to decide I probably won't use it that often as it seems like it takes more room than its worth.

That was good, nice one Pelagic.  :laughing4:
